Elliott’s Amusements is once again the carnival provider for the Taylor Summer Festival. The rides will be located in the parking lots located behind the Activities Building and Wedding Chapel in Heritage Park, as they were last year. The popular all-day armbands are on sale (per day, good for any day during the festival).

Taylor Festival Highlights at Heritage Park

Thursday, July 8 (3 to 10 p.m.) 

  • Carnival only

Friday, July 9 (Noon to 11 p.m.)

  • Carnival continues daylong
  • Taylor Summer Festival Concert Series Featuring FILTER WSG SPONGE / Sheridan Pavilion / Gates Open at 6 p.m.
  • No lawn chairs allowed inside the pavilion / Must have ID for alcohol. No refunds.
  • Parking inside and surrounding Heritage Park is $10.

Saturday, July 10 (Noon to 11 p.m.)

  • Carnival continues daylong
  • Taylor Summer Festival Concert Series Featuring LOCASH WSG CHRIS BANDI  / Sheridan Pavilion / Gates Open at 6 p.m. 
  • No lawn chairs allowed inside the pavilion. Must have ID for alcohol / No refunds.
  • Recoil Firearms/Reliable Delivery Taylor Summer Festival Fireworks Display at 10 p.m. Fireworks are free.
  • Parking inside and surrounding Heritage Park is $10.

Carnival Armbands: Pre-sale carnival armbands available (see top of page). You must purchase a ticket or and armband to be admitted into the carnival area (no ticket-no entry).

Parking: Vehicle parking will be available both inside and outside of Heritage Park for $10. Official festival parking will be located at the southern end of the park (Northline Road entrance) and at the Wayne County Community College-Taylor Campus. Other private paid parking will be available in the surrounding areas.

Adjacent Street Restrictions: In order to facilitate vehicular movement and to promote public safety, the City of Taylor Police Department enacts the following Michigan Motor Vehicle Code provision adopted through City Ordinance 48-19 effective 10 a.m. July 9, 2021 through 1a.m. July 11, 2021:

 257.602 Compliance with order or direction of police officer.

A person shall not refuse to comply with a lawful order or direction of a police officer when that officer, for public interest and safety, is guiding, directing, controlling, or regulating traffic on the highways of this state.

One-side parking will be posted on the following streets:

Brest, Clinton, W. Keyes, Moran, Klebba, Phyllis, Livingston, Ernst, Ran, Birch, Morley, Maplelawn, Goldenridge, Lincoln, McKinley, Beechwood, Katherine, Dudley, William, Baraga, Mortenview

Violators will be ticketed /towed.

Pardee Road Traffic: Pardee road between Goddard and Northline roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic at 7 p.m. on July 10.  The roadway will be reopened as soon as the fireworks traffic has safely dispersed at approximately midnight.
